Landscape Lighting Must Haves for Fall

As the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter, we can’t help but get excited for those crisp, fall evenings. Although the weather is perfect for a fire, or just a relaxing evening on the deck, the fading daylight makes it hard to fully take advantage of these nights. We are able to extend our time in our outdoor living spaces by simply adding landscape lighting.

Here are our landscape lighting must haves for fall!

1. Fire pit

Nothing screams fall like cuddling up next to a fire in the cool evening air. It brings that sense of warmth to those crisp nights. Adding lighting to your fire pit area can add new depth of beauty and safety to the space.

One of the lighting techniques we like to add to a permanent fire pit area is undercap lighting. Undercap lights are installed directly under the fire pit or seating wall’s extended edges. When this lighting technique is added, it brings a beautiful aesthetic to the fire pit area, while simultaneously guiding guests safely around the fire.

2. Outdoor kitchen

This time of year can pose as a challenge when it comes to using our outdoor kitchens. The cooler nights make having a cookout so inviting, but the loss of sunshine makes it hard to utilize these areas. The sun setting earlier shouldn’t mean we have to cut the use of our outdoor kitchen’s short!

The right outdoor lighting can fix this issue. Whether it is a full blown outdoor kitchen and dining space, or a simple grilling area, we can light it to enhance the functions of the space. From lighting counters to adding a grill light, we can meet specific needs to extend the use of the outdoor kitchen.

3. Patios and pergolas

Patios, pergolas, and even decks, all serve as extensions to a home’s living space. Adding bistros can bring your these spaces to life during the short days of fall. Bristos add a warmth and ambiance when sitting under them. They bring such a sense of occasion that you won’t want to come inside!

4. Architecture

Architecture can be one of the most important things to light when it comes to landscape lighting in the fall. When the days get shorter, it is dark before most even get home from their day. The greatest benefit of architecture lighting is the fact you never have to pull up to a dark home. And well...there is just something so appealing about coming home to a beautifully lit home!

Illuminating the beautiful accents of your home and its elements not only increases curb appeal, it also gives you a layer of security for those early dark evenings.
